The CLP belief

More work is not always the answer. The right work is.

You can be doing everything you were told—and still wonder what is missing.

Athletes can fill the week with practices, games, lessons, camps, and workouts. Adults can train hard, try new programs, and keep starting over. The effort is real—but effort without direction can leave the most important gaps untouched.

That is the frustrating part. You care. You are willing to work. You simply need to know which qualities matter most now, how the pieces fit together, and what a smart next step actually looks like.

CLP replaces guessing with assessment, random activity with progression, and uncertainty with a development path you can believe in.

Why this work became personal

I did not grow up with every resource. I learned to build with what I had.

I was a three-sport high school athlete who went on to play college baseball. Growing up, I did not have every training tool, specialist, or advantage available. What I did have was the willingness to work, people who cared, and the need to be resourceful.

College gave me the chance to study the science behind performance—to understand what had helped me, what could have been done better, and why good training has to be more than a hard workout. I dedicated my education and early career to connecting that science to real people and real coaching.

Over the next fifteen years, the work became a system. Every athlete and adult I coached added to a clearer way of assessing needs, organizing training, and helping people build strength, speed, power, movement, and confidence with purpose.

I built CLP so the next athlete, parent, or adult would not have to piece the path together alone.

The method behind the work

Better development begins when the training has a clear reason.

01

Start with assessment, not assumptions.

Before adding more work, understand the person, the goal, and the physical qualities that deserve attention first.

02

Build the athlete behind the sport.

Practice builds sport skill. Complete development also requires strength, speed, power, movement, recovery, and consistency.

03

Give every effort a reason.

Training should connect from one session to the next so people can see where they are going instead of collecting random workouts.
